The Ministerial Ranking List (also known as Polish List) is a list of scientific journals approved by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Each publication that is included in this list of peer-reviewed journals is assigned a certain number of points. These scores play an important role in the evaluation of scientific publications by Polish scientists as well as the scientific organizations to which they belong. Criteria for selecting a journal for publication from the Ministerial List of Ranking Journals (wykazu MNiSW)

Ballot criteria
Each publication included in the Polish List is assigned a certain number of points based on its performance and the quality of published materials.
There are 5 evaluation thresholds, according to which scientific journals can receive 20, 40, 70, 100, 140 and 200 points. The most prestigious journals are those that can receive from 100 to 200 points for publication.
Choosing a journal with a high score (for example, 200) can significantly increase the author's authority and help in achieving scientific goals (obtaining scientific degrees and titles).

Disciplines
Journal from the wykazu MNiSW list should correspond to the scientific specialization of the scientist. For successful publication of your paper, it is recommended to choose journals that are relevant to your subject area. This criterion is worth considering to increase the likelihood of a positive review and placement of your paper in the selected journal.
The list includes scientific publications in various disciplinary areas, including technical, mathematical, medical, chemical, physical, forestry, humanities, social and social sciences, as well as arts and culture.

Indexing in international databases
The Ministerial List of Ranked Publications includes Polish publications that are indexed in international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. Before selecting a journal for publication, it is recommended to check whether the publication is peer-reviewed in the required scientometric database. Publications in journals indexed by authoritative databases (such as Scopus or WOS) increase the visibility of research and improve the reputation of a scientist.
Thus, when selecting a scientific journal from the ministerial list of ranking publications, it is important to consider both quantitative indicators (scores) and qualitative indicators (reputation, indexing of the publication in international scientometric databases), so that the publication will bring maximum academic benefit to both the scientist and the community.
