the ministerial list
of rated publications?
The ministerial ranking list contains a recommended list of scientific journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, as well as national Polish journals. In addition, the list includes peer-reviewed materials of international conferences recommended for the publication of scientific works. Each publication is assigned a number of points, which is the key criterion of the ranking list.
Publications in journals from the ranking list directly influence the evaluation of researchers and their universities. Points received for each article published in a specific periodical have a decisive impact on the financial income and prestige of the university. They are also a key factor on the path to scientific recognition and promotion of the researcher’s works.

How are points assigned?
The ministerial list of ranked journals has its own point-based evaluation criteria, according to which publications may receive 20, 40, 70, 100, 150, 200, or 300 points. Accordingly, five thresholds are established between the points, and movement between them can occur across several positions at once. For example, a publication may be raised from 20 to 300 points, the maximum. Likewise, a publication may drop by several positions in the ranking.
Points are awarded based on the review of the Ministry of Education and Science of Poland and depend on the reputation of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials of international conferences.
Researchers will receive points according to the ranking of the journal in which the article is published.
