What is
the ministerial list
of rated publications?
The ministerial rating list contains a recommended list of scientific journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, as well as national Polish publications. In addition, the list includes peer-reviewed materials from international conferences recommended for publication of scientific works. Each publication is assigned a number of points, which is the key criterion for the ranking list.
Publications in publications from the ranking list directly influence the evaluation of scientists and their universities. The points received for each article published in a particular periodical have a decisive impact on the financial income and prestige of the university. They are also a key factor in the path to scientific recognition and promotion of a scientist's work.

How are points assigned?
The ministerial list of rated journals has its own evaluation criteria in the form of points, according to which publications can receive the following scores: 20, 40, 70, 100, 150, 200, and 300 points. Accordingly, there are five thresholds between points, and the transition between them can occur in several positions at once. For example, a publication can be raised from 20 to 300 points, maximum. Similarly, a publication can drop several positions in the ranking.
Points are awarded by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science and depend on the reputation of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences.
Scientists will receive points according to the rating of the journal in which the article will be published.
